UCSD Family Medicine
Residency Program

If you are interested in the UCSD Family Medicine Residency Program, we participate in NRMP, the National Residency Match Program. We offer 7 positions each year. Applicants are required to apply through (ERAS), the Electronic Residency Application System and include the following by December 1, 2008:

 
  • Application
  •  
  • Transcripts
  •  
  • Curriculum Vitae
  •  
  • Personal statement
  •  
  • Dean's letter
  •  
  • Photo
  •  
  • USMLE (200) and/or COMLEX (500)
  •  
  • 3 letters of recommendation from your medical school faculty or clinical supervisor

  • In addition to the above materials Graduates from Foreign Medical Schools need to also include:

     
  • ECFMG Certification
  •  
     
  • California Letter
  •  
     
  • Permanent Resident Status or J-1 Visa (UCSD does not sponsor J-1 Visa)
  •  

    All Applicants are required to have clinical experience within the last 3 years. Research experience may not be substituted. We will be scheduling interviews to selected applicants from November through January.
